Artist Park Sang-hee, who melts the desire revealed in the city’s illuminated night view and the sleepless nights of the modern society in which she constantly works, has long worked as a by-product of the city called sheet paper that makes the city’s scenery tactile. The artist depicts the perspective and planarity of painting on the screen, while at the same time dealing with the depth of another painting with geometric patterns and cutouts like fragmented sculptures of a digital society. The artificial light, which plays a major role in her screen, dramatically shows the true inner side of the city dwellers while touching the lives of the city dwellers. As for expression, the classic representation method of painting is used, but as sheet paper is cut and recombined, it opens up the possibility of various interpretations of the landscape and allows a different approach to painting.
